Kairosmaja – a place of rest in Finnish Lapland

Kairosmaja Fell Center is located in Pelkosenniemi, at the foot of the Pyhä Fell (Pyhätunturi), by the Pyhäjärvi lake, 50 km North of Kemijärvi town.

The name of the Center is derived from the Greek word ‘kairos’ meaning God’s moment, and Finnish word ‘maja’ meaning lodge.

The quietness and peace of Lapland nature offer a unique opportunity to take a break from the everyday busyness and stress. Come and enjoy the unforgettable midnight sun in the summer, or the wide open space of white silence of the winter months. Kairosmaja has excellent facilities. After an adventurous day in the open you may relax in a real Finnish sauha, dip in a hole in the ice in the lake in winter  or visit the Revontuli Chapel.
